Dynamics of primary structure coupled with single-sided vibro-impact nonlinear energy sink

In this paper, we consider a two-mass 2-DOF vibro-impact system, consisting of linear oscillator, called the primary structure, and an impact damper attached to it. A with small mass hits wall rigidly connected structure. This scheme corresponds single-sided nonlinear energy sink – SSVI NES. It is shown that even light can reduce amplitude velocity structure oscillatory movement, is, decrease its energy. Further optimization parameters should improve effect. The simulation using Hertz’s contact force makes it possible take into account mechanical characteristics all colliding surfaces in more detail. introduction initial distance between calculation bodies see when absent.
